ERP Assessment, Audit, Optimization

In the last ten years, an increasing number of companies have adopted integrated systems for the management of core business processes in the area of Supply Chain, Distribution or Accounting.

Often the first installation project does not allow to reach high levels of efficiency in the use of the functions offered by the IT tool. As a matter of fact, the full potential of these tools is not leveraged as a consequence of the lack of good knowledge of the ERP system or due to users being reluctant  to give up the old IT procedures.

Therefore, some years after the first ERP installation, there is the opportunity to carry out a new project aiming at reviewing the business processes implemented in order to improve and enhance them and to further exploit the whole potential offered by the tool.

During this “second wave”, so called by the experts, it is advisable to operate as follows:

  • Redesign the business process on the basis of the deeper knowledge - acquired during the years of operations - of the required information that must be managed within the ERP system;
  • Review any customizations made in the past and understand, with the support of a specialist, whether there is a new way of carrying out a certain action by further  leveraging  other functions or by installing new functions that the software vendor has in the meantime released;
  • Examine the operating  procedures used and  carefully consider them on the basis of a stricter coherence to  with what the system itself “natively” provides.

By combining the competence of processes typical for business consultancy  with a in-depth  knowledge about the major ERP systems available on the market, Reply provides customers with the best-of-breed mix to ensure a more effective use of ERP systems and an easier execution of the core business processes.
