GAIA Reply™ for the mobile portals of la Repubblica and Radio DeeJay

28 settembre 2009

Through GAIA Reply™ the mobile area of Gruppo Espresso optimises the display and use of the mobile sites of la Repubblica and Radio DeeJay on all new and old generation mobile phones.

The first project was carried out for Radio Deejay, one of the best known and most popular private Italian broadcasters. It is possible to write directly to the DJ on air at the address m.deejay.it, download various content and podcasts, access 50 songs, the official hit parade of Radio Deejay, photo-galleries, community services and much more.

During recent weeks the new version of the la Repubblica Mobile portal (m.repubblica.it), has been released containing even more news, localised services and sections that can be customised by the user, as well as live broadcasts from sporting events and the Stock Exchange.

Both sites are accessible from any mobile terminal, with versions automatically adapted in terms of layout, content and services provided to optimise the user experience according to the different functions and features of the various cell phones and smart phones.

Display optimisation of the sites on each terminal has been made possible by GAIA Reply™ (www.gaiareply.eu), the proprietary platform of Reply designed to extract the mobile content from any structured source, aggregate it according to the criteria required by the type of service and then make them available, optimised for any channel and mobile device.

"We are particularly proud to have supported the Mobile area of Gruppo Espresso," said Giuseppe Liguori, Partner of Open Reply, "in optimising their mobile sites. The growing spread of the mobile Internet is certainly due to the new generation of terminals and the semi-flat rates of operators; but an extremely important contribution certainly comes from the work of media companies and enterprises, which increasingly understand the need to adapt content and services to make them usable, with an excellent user experience on all mobile devices."
